I said to my daughter, who was cuddled up on the couch nursing some gingerale and watching a movie while I made this, "I'm going to make a card, and it's gonna have snowflakes on it....what color should they be?" Without missing a beat, she replied, "Pink, duh!". And that's where the color scheme for this card came from. Genius, that little one of mine!
